Exciting News: I’m Running for AAHOA Western Division Young Professionals Director!
It’s with great excitement and a deep sense of purpose that I announce my candidacy for AAHOA Western Division Young Professionals Director. As someone who has dedicated my career to the hospitality industry and my community, I’m eager to bring my experience, vision, and passion to this role.
A Bit About Me
With over half a decade of experience in hotel operations and a lifelong passion as a fourth-generation hotelier, I’ve gained hands-on expertise in key areas such as staff training, maintenance solutions, and navigating complex OTA relationships. My journey has allowed me to deeply understand the challenges and opportunities hoteliers face every day.
My leadership extends beyond the day-to-day operations of running a hotel. I’ve served on National, State, and Local committees with AAHOA, where I’ve advocated for hotel owners on Capitol Hill and worked on impactful legislative issues in Oregon and Washington. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to tackle the pressing issues that matter most to us as hoteliers.
Beyond the industry, I have dedicated myself to community service. I’ve served as the Chair for Make-A-Wish Oregon and volunteered with organizations like the Oregon Food Bank and the Portland Bureau of Community-Engaged Policing. Giving back is a core part of who I am, and I believe in applying this same sense of service to our AAHOA community.
Why I’m Running
My campaign is grounded in three pillars that I believe are critical to empowering the next generation of hoteliers:
Education – Expanding access to resources and training to help young professionals thrive.
Networking – Building stronger, more meaningful connections within the industry.
Leadership – Inspiring young hoteliers to lead with confidence and purpose.
As your Young Professionals Director, I’ll work tirelessly to ensure we have the tools, opportunities, and support to succeed in this competitive and ever-changing industry.
What’s Next?
Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing more about my vision and priorities for this role. I’m also looking forward to connecting with as many of you as possible to hear your thoughts, ideas, and concerns about how we can work together to shape the future of our industry.
Election Day is April 15, 2024, and I would be honored to earn your support.
